Our resident rock legend and roving gearhead BILLY F GIBBONS, dat ZZ Boy, checks in from the recording studio in H-Town with a glimpse of the iller-than-ill “FrankenFord,” a truck/semi with mid-engine Cadillac motor, airbag suspension, sick paint/rust, and mojo to spare. HAVE A LOOK:

Dr. Ghada Karmi's visit to Connecticut (the Constitution State) was very successful. She spoke at four events including talks to mostly student audiences at three universities. Wednesday's talks at Wesleyan, and Yale were planned to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the Deir Yassin massacre (April 9, 1948, weeks before Israel was unilaterally declared a state and one of 33 massacres committed to drive the native Palestinians out). Below are two relevant articles on this seminal event that was used to create the largest remaining refugee population in the world. It was inspiring to see the younger people active in organizing and engaged in attending, asking important questions etc. The events at Yale (hosted by Arab Student Association) and Wesleyan (hosted by ADAPT) packed the rooms booked. Deep and meaningful discussions spilled over also after the lecture and I heard lots more are now planned to delve into the root causes of the 60 year wars and conflicts in Western Asia (AKA the Middle East).
Between 1947-1949 over 3/4th of the native Palestinians (Christians and Muslims) were driven out (by Zionist terminology the land was "cleansed").

George Soros will not go quietly.
At the age of 77, Mr. Soros, one the world’s most successful investors and richest men, leapt out of retirement last summer to safeguard his fortune and legacy. Alarmed by the unfolding crisis in the financial markets, he once again began trading for his giant hedge fund — and won big while so many others lost.
Mr. Soros has always been a controversial figure. But he is becoming more so with a new, dire forecast for the world economy. Last week he rushed out a book, his 10th, warning that the financial pain has only just begun.
“I consider this the biggest financial crisis of my lifetime,” Mr. Soros said during an interview Monday in his office overlooking Central Park. A “superbubble” that has been swelling for a quarter of a century is finally bursting, he said.
Mother Jones magazine has revealed a private security firm staffed by former Secret Service agents spied on several environmental groups beginning in the late 1990s. The firm, Beckett Brown International, later S2i, stole documents from trash bins, planted undercover operatives within groups such as Greenpeace, collected phone records, and spied on meetings. The company has worked for clients including the Carlyle Group, Wal Mart, Monsanto and Halliburton.
