The Armageddon Vote in 2006, Wed., Oct. 25th

With less than three weeks before the midterm Congressional elections,
the pressing issues of Iraq, the war on terrorism, and possible military
confrontation with Iran are on voters' minds.  Many voters, however, say
their opinion on Middle East issues is strongly influenced by the media
and by religion.  According to a just-released Zogby International poll,
conducted for the Council for the National Interest, nearly a third (31
percent) of likely American voters believe in Christian Zionism, as
defined as "a belief that Israel must have all of the promised land,
including Jerusalem, to facilitate the second coming of the messiah."
The full results of the poll are available at:

Like a modern racing yacht, the Baylis has foil shapes as efficient as that of any airplane wing.

Stealth Boat for Hire. Good Lift. Low Drag. Excellent Mileage.

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 16 — The great white sharks hanging out around the Farallon Islands 25 miles west of the Golden Gate have been greeted by an unusual visitor in recent days: the Derek M. Baylis, a 65-foot vessel designed not just for research but to demonstrate how quieter and more fuel-efficient boats can be built.
